The Wellington Sno-Riders are saddened by the recent passing of our founder and long time President Richard Bernard. Richard was the pillar of snowmobiling in our community. He would be the first at the camp in the fall, and the last to leave in the spring after closing for the summer. His dedication to our club is only surpassed by his love of sledding.

Annual trips to New Brunswick with his brother Roger were the highlight of his winters. Many local riders had the chance to tag along and experience these great trips and see his face light up at the sight of picture perfect trails and rolling mountain scenes. Our sadness is only surpassed by our dedication for the survival of the Sno-Riders club, because that's what Richard would have wanted. Our new President Mike Gallant along with the board members have agreed to keep Richards memory at our camp by re-naming our annual "Fun Run" to the "Richard Bernard Memorial Fun Run". Those of you who knew Richard, and his dedication to the Sno-Riders will understand our great loss. In memory of Richard and with our passion of snowmobiling the Wellington Sno-Riders shall go on.
