The PEISA Trail Wardens meet at the Dutch Inn, Cornwall to discuss the upcoming season. Director Stewart Brookins opened the meeting, introduced President Dale Hickox and invited the 12 members in attendance to introduce themselves.

The meeting agenda covered: overview of the PEISA trail warden program and the application process; a discussion on last winters activities and how they can improve their coverage this season; a review of the ticketing process and a review of the Off-Highway Vehicle acts and regulations for which Trail Wardens will write summary offense tickets.

President Hickox talked about the Board decision to hire either one full-time trail warden or split the position and hire 2 part-time (20 hours per week for up to 360 hours for the season). There were concerns raised that that person might be spending a lot of time on administrative issues instead of being on the trail, but both President Hickox and Director Brookins assurred the group that the intent was to have someone on the trail as much as possible.

The PEISA will offer a new trail warden training program later this winter if there are minimum of 6 participants. The meeting ended with President Hickox expressing his thanks to the trail wardens for the participation on the trails this winter.
